Although mainly an annual membership fishery, day tickets are available any day of the week except Mondays. As Full Annual members are entitled to fish any day of the year, the number of day tickets available will be limited to a maximum of 2 and need to be booked in advance. We stock both rainbow trout and brown trout, and are catch and take for the rainbows and catch and release for the browns.
If you would like to book a day ticket please telephone the fishery manager at the clubhouse on 01525 234112 during its opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday. Outside these hours please telephone Charles on 07809 432182 or alternatively use the contact form below and we will get back to you promptly.
Our day ticket prices are composed of two elements; a visit fee and an amount per fish. This means that if you do not catch your fish allowance on a visit, we will give you a voucher for each uncaught fish which you can then use towards a future visit. So, if you hit a difficult day, rather than leave disappointed, we feel it to be fair that you can come back next time without paying the full rate. The ticket prices are:-
£60 for a 4 fish all day ticket (comprising £26 visit fee plus 4 x £8.50 per fish), 8am to 5pm or dusk if earlier.
£38 for a 2 fish half day ticket (comprising £21 visit fee plus 2 x £8.50 per fish), 8am to 12:30pm or 12:30pm to 5pm/dusk
The fish allowance refers to fish taken rather than browns caught and released.
When booking a day ticket, you automatically become a Day Member of the fishery at no additional cost. A Day Member (and a guest) is then welcome to visit the fishery to use the clubhouse facilities for a meal or a drink during the clubhouse opening hours. Additional fishing for a Day Member can then be booked as required.
Please note, we are not open for day tickets during July and August as the conditions are normally too warm for the trout to be active and the fishing good.
